These PMC teardrop earrings are entirely handmade. A mold was made from a cedar branch that I found near our Northern Minnesota farm. PMC was rolled into the mold, dried, sanded and then baked in a kiln. The end result after firing is sterling silver. The teardrop was filed and sanded again and then a 4 mm jade cabochon was securely soldered and bezel set to the teardrop. The edges of the teardrop have been hammered with a ball peen hammer for a rustic look. All the silver has been oxidized and then lightly brushed with steel wool to pronounce the details.
The earrings measure 1 3/8 inches from top of ear wire to bottom of teardrop. They are 3/8 inch wide at widest part. Ear wires are hand made from torch balled sterling silver.
