These PMC teardrop earrings are entirely handmade. A mold was made from a cedar branch that I found near out Northern Minnesota farm. Pmc was rolled into the mold, dried, sanded and then baked in a kiln. The end result after firing is sterling silver. The teardrop was filed and sanded again and then a 4 mm jade cabochon was securely soldered and bezel set to the teardrop. The edges of the teardrop have been hammered with a ball peen hammer for a rustic look. All the silver has been oxidized, lightly brushed to enhance the details, and polished to a nice shine.
The earrings measure 1 3/4 inches from top of ear wire to bottom of teardrop. They are 1/2 inch wide at widest part. Ear wires are hand-made from torch-balled sterling silver.
